Al-Taj News – Jordanian artist Mohammad Al-Akhras responded to the strong criticism that followed his concert at the Afamia Resort in Syria’s Latakia Governorate, following a severe organizational crisis, chaotic scenes, and widespread controversy.
According to circulating clips and posts, a large number of attendees, including bloggers and influencers, were surprised to find that there were no tables or seats reserved for them despite having received special invitations and VIP tickets. This caused confusion and severe crowding, with some attendees tearing up their tickets and leaving the concert.
Al-Akhras only posted a brief comment through the “Stories” feature on his Instagram page, saying: “You guys like to make a big deal out of things.”
According to the reactions, this response was not well received by many followers, who felt that it would have been better to apologize for the problem that occurred on the organizational side rather than attempt to downplay the crisis.
Those who took this view cited a comment attributed to the artist while he was on stage, in which he said: “Whoever wants to leave, let them leave,” which some members of the audience considered an insult and belittling of those in attendance, while others defended him, arguing that the fault lies entirely with the organizers and not with the artist himself.
